🎓 The Upside Down - Explained Simply

Team (The Simple Version)

The people making Lane Vector happen!

The Main Person in Charge

Michael Brandon Lane

Michael Brandon Lane is the person who came up with Lane Vector and runs the whole research program. He had a big realization: predictions could be way better if we treated them like physics problems instead of just counting things!

He focuses on using advanced math (physics-informed neural networks) to make predictions about complex things - basically bringing serious science to everyday problems. The work happens through a company called Golden Goose Tools, based in Tennessee, near Oak Ridge National Laboratory (a huge science research center).

🎓 What Makes Him Qualified?

Michael combines expertise in AI/machine learning with deep knowledge of physics and mathematics. He saw a gap: physicists had already solved similar problems in their field (like tracking chemical reactions or combustion), but nobody was applying that math to predict human behavior. So he decided to bridge that gap!

ORCID is like a digital ID for researchers - it links to all their published work!

The Advisory Board (Expert Helpers)

Lane Vector is building a team of advisors - basically smart people who are experts in different areas and can help guide the research. Think of them like coaches for a sports team!

Areas where Lane Vector needs expert help:

  • 🧠
AI & Physics-Informed Machine Learning:Experts who know how to combine AI with physics equations (the core of Lane Vector!)
  • Math for Fast & Slow Changes:Specialists in handling things that change at wildly different speeds (like tracking both seconds and months)
  • 🔍
Finding Equations in Data:People who are good at discovering mathematical rules hidden in messy data
  • 🎯
Human Behavior Science:Experts who understand why people do what they do - psychologists, behavioral economists, etc.
  • 📚
Information Retrieval Theory:Specialists in how people search for and find information (important for understanding intent!)

🌟 Why Tennessee?

The project is based in Tennessee because it's close to Oak Ridge National Laboratory - one of the biggest science research centers in the United States! Oak Ridge does cutting-edge work in physics, supercomputing, and advanced math. Being nearby means Lane Vector can tap into that expertise and collaborate with world-class scientists. Plus, Tennessee is a great place to do serious research without the crazy cost of living in places like Silicon Valley!
